What are the ways to top up NAD+ levels?
There are four main ways to increase NAD+ in the body:
Oral (pills or powders)
NAD+ supplements can be taken orally, but they have extremely low bioavailability. The molecule is fragile and breaks down during digestion. NAD+ precursors like NMN or NR are more stable but currently under FDA investigation due to potential long-term risks, including possible links to cancer.
→ Low absorption. Uncertain safety.
Intravenous (IV drip)
A fast way to deliver 500–1000mg of NAD+ directly into the bloodstream. However, the experience can be unpleasant—causing chest tightness, nausea, and abdominal pain. It also requires a trained nurse and takes up to 2 hours. While it gives a quick boost, the effect wears off unless repeated frequently.
→ Effective, but uncomfortable and time-consuming.
Intramuscular (IM injection)
Injecting NAD+ into the muscle helps maintain levels, but comes with significant pain and complexity. Long needles, self-injection challenges, and discomfort make this method difficult for most users. Drawing NAD+ from a vial adds another barrier.
→ Works well, but highly uncomfortable and impractical.
Subcutaneous (Reviva Pen)
The Reviva Pen is the first subcutaneous NAD+ auto-injector designed for home use. It delivers a small, precise dose just 4mm under the skin—into the fatty layer, where absorption is strong and nerve endings are minimal, resulting in a nearly pain-free experience. Daily micro-dosing builds and maintains optimal NAD+ levels—safely, conveniently, and effectively.
→ Gentle. Consistent. Easy. Built for everyday use.
